I’ve spent more than a quarter of a century helping organisations and individuals across business, the third sector, the arts and sport navigate a complex and often intimidating world in which the way we engage with one another has changed constantly.
I specialise in working closely with institutions and their leaders to develop long-term reputation building strategies that mirror the approach to risk that institutions take around other parts of their business, whether it be financial or operational.
Having served what I still describe as a brilliant apprenticeship with a PR agency in the west of Scotland, I enjoyed a 12-year career at airport operator BAA, during which everything that could go wrong, did go wrong. I learned about my own resilience and that of the company and the importance of taking a step back to reflect and learn lessons.
Today, I help lead the brilliant team here and work with a diverse group of clients. I also chair the board of trustees of Street Soccer Scotland and the Scotland advisory board of Unicef UK, giving me a different perspective on the lives of others and challenges that will always be greater than mine.
Otherwise, I wander about the Scottish mountains with too many cameras (and sometimes my family and our dog), indulging my great passion for landscape photography.
